The Environmental, Health & Safety Supervisor will be responsible for the overall facility safety through the implementation of best-in-class safety programs, safety infrastructure and safety training for all employees. Role will also provide employee relations support across multiple stages of the employee life cycle.
 
ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY

• Partner with all teams and departments to continually grow and refresh a strong safety culture with goal of zero accidents;
• Lead investigation, with support of department and team leaders, of all safety incidents with focus on root cause analysis and implementation of effective countermeasures;
• Manage safety and health related vendors and suppliers;
• Serve as subject matter expert on safety related compliance measures, ensuring alignment will all applicable regulations and oversight;
• Develops and implements policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions;
• Leads cross functional Safety Committee, procuring active participation from a representative group of employees from across the organization.
• Coordinates safety related audit program and associated improvement activities;
• Review training needs/matrix and develop and coordinate a comprehensive program of internal and external courses that meet the business needs whilst complying with statutory health and safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management or related field
• 3 to 5 years as a Health and Safety Coordinator/Specialist, or related health and safety experience
• Advanced knowledge of Health & Safety administration in a manufacturing industry
• Advanced knowledge of accident investigation, workplace inspection, hazardous communication, and job safety analysis
•  Experience with maintaining Health & Safety programs
• Experience with safety related training, including new hire orientation
• Good communication, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking ability
• Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
• Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills
• Advanced computer skills

Salary Range: $90-100k plus bonus.
