Position Description

• Prepare parts inspection sheets based on information received from Planning and Senior Inspectors
• Following first-off inspection, ensure operator has sufficient and correct measurement tools and has demonstrated sufficient knowledge to continue measuring parts acceptably
• Perform in-process inspections and final inspections, under supervision of Senior Inspectors, using manual instruments and CMM’s
• Perform random inspections on parts at CNC machines, based on agreed frequency
• Record, and Report random inspection results to the Quality Manager based on agreed criteria
• Perform measurement equipment calibration as required
• Ensure work area is neat and work is organized.

Further position development:

• Perform first article inspections – work with CNC setup team to improve parts
• CMM programming
• NCR / Root cause analysis

Requirements

• Strong measurement skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Excellent attitude towards product quality, our clients QMS, and continuous improvement
• A positive recommendation from current supervisor

Salary Range:  $22-25 / hr, depending on experience, fit, and qualifications.
