Product Developer

Our client is a global leader in the development of electronic equipment and pioneering technology that is used around the world to do Non-Destructive Testing.

As the Product Developer  in our Final Assembly Department, you will be able to demonstrate your strong organizational and decision making skills by being accountable for safety, budgets, cost control, delivery, quality and continuous improvement. Exhibit your leadership abilities and interpersonal skills while reporting to the owner to maintain our customer relationships around the world. 

Responsibilities:

Production:

  • Develop and execute production plan. Establish priorities and track progress.

  • Revise schedules as needed and resolve problems in meeting the plan.

  • Order components issues such as Hardware, PC board assemblies and harnesses.

  • Prepare annual department budget and monitor results on a monthly basis.

  • Manage job-closeout variances.

  • Work with all plant support groups i.e. Engineering, Test & Quality Engineering groups as required.

  • Drive execution of Safety 24/7, Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction initiatives.

  • Lead and promote use of, and ensure compliance to all processes.

  • Manage equipment problems in department and make sure repairs are completed in a timely manner.

  • Assemble the main chassis of the product, install PC Boards and electronics into chassis, test, calibrate, do final quality testing and package the product for shipping.

  • Do diagnostics and repair warranty issues.

  • Provide technical support to customers.

Qualifications:


Education and experience required:

  • Electronic technician diploma ( must be able to understand electronic circuitry, transistors, PC Boards and semi-conductors)

  • Must be able to solder, use an  oscilloscope and multi-meter and have the dexterity to assemble small items

  • Must be able to document processes with excellent written and verbal skills

Salary Range: $80k
