Manufacturing Manager

Summary:

Reporting to the VP & General Manager, the Manager, Manufacturing is responsible for all aspects of cost, quality, and schedule of the manufacturing operations, as well as the overall day to day management of staff at the site. Additional duties include facilities management, Health & Safety, Maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a culture of safety and operational excellence, and uphold our core values
  • Ensure the necessary resources to meet quality and delivery requirements of jobs are made available as required
  • Create, revise, and oversee the standard operating procedures of all day-to-day operations
  • Hire, train and supervise all team members
  • Overall responsibility for control and maintenance of manufacturing processes
  • Ensure plant equipment is properly maintained
  • Regularly review data to solve day to day operation challenges and lead the team to meet or exceed KPIs and company goals
  • Oversee inventory management ensuring inventory levels meet fulfillment needs and identifies and rectifies inventory control challenges
  • Drive effective change management to meet business needs with minimal team member impact
  • Support Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action initiatives within the business
  • Build people capabilities through coaching and training sessions; provide feedback that focuses on accountability, development and excellence in the workplace

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in an Operations capacity
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a precision machining environment
  • Experience in a custom manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in Additive Manufacturing considered an asset
  • Lean manufacturing experience an asset
  • Strong organizational, logistical, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP system experience
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Proven leadership experience leading and managing a team, including coaching and developing staff, performance management, and training
Salary Range: $100-120k.
